Physicals/Spring Sports Banquet
This year our physicals that we offer will be Monday night May 20th in the evening. Also Our spring sports banquet will be Sunday May 19th at 5 pm. Please mark your calendar for both events.

Softball
Our softball team is currently ½ a game out of first place in the PCAL Cypress division as we’re fresh off of a 12-2 win over Monte Vista Christian. Currently our record sits at 6-3 in PCAL Cypress play with 6 league games left and still a good amount of non league games to play.

Freshmen Alicia Mendez has been pitching great for the Sharks and had a walk off home run vs MVC that put the game into the 10 run rule. Senior Lena Ciandro has been doing a phenomenal job catching for the Sharks and fellow senior Maia Madrigal leads the way in the outfield. Senior day will be on May 2nd vs. Alisal for the Sharks.

The softball team will also host a few games Saturday May 4th vs Del Mar and Mission College Prep of San Luis Obispo. You’ll be seeing many of our Sharks teams over the years play Mission College Prep so we can forge a great relationship with another great Catholic School in the Monterey Diocese.

Baseball
Congratulations to our baseball team for being in the top 5 of team GPA throughout the CCS! This season our baseball team has been competing in the PCAL-Gabilan division, one of the top leagues throughout the state and have notched wins over Salinas and Gilroy. Your Sharks also won a non league game vs. Monte Vista of Cupertino.

Your Sharks will have senior day May 7th vs. Christopher at 4 pm. Please come out and honor your Sharks that each of the last two seasons your Sharks made it to Municipal Stadium in San Jose for the CCS semi finals and CCS finals.

Track & Field
Our track & field team has had a great season as we gear up for the PCAL meet to see how many Sharks qualify for CCS. In our cluster meets your Sharks have regularly beaten many schools of the PCAL Cypress as Justin Parker has been leading the way in the 100m and 200m. Mathieu Morin and Miguel Aguilar are excelling in the pole vault. On the girls side the Sharks are doing great with Jocelyn Madrigal and Janessa Yniguez on the long jump and Natalie Henn in the distance events. The last regular season meet is April 16th at Pacific Grove where we will honor our seniors and then the PCAL-Cypress meet on April 23rd at Pacific Grove and then April 26th with the PCAL finals at Pacific Grove. Go Sharks!

Sam Held and Taylor Gaul all won individual events.

We will honor the seniors on the swim team Thursday April 18th at our meet vs Watsonville. We’d also like to give a major thank you to all our volunteers this year. This has been the first season that we have hosted swim meets and both went well thanks to all of you for your hard work!

Golf
Our golf team is enjoying a great season in the PCAL Cypress division. Izzy Mendez is leading the way for a team that multiple times has finished in 2nd in the PCAL Cypressmeets. Other golfers that are playing great on the links are Andrew Seymour, Reilly Moakler, Caleb Rodriguez, JR McFarland and Emma Fitzpatrick. We hope to continue our success as our last PCAL regular season meet is on April 24th at Bayonet and hope to move onto the postseason.

Mens Volleyball
Our boys volleyball team is in year 2 of the program and our first year as a varsity team in the PCAL Mission division. The Sharks have posted wins over Stevenson, Gilroy, Soledad and Kirby. We also hosted our first ever boys volleyball tournament this season with 8 teams from throughout the central coast. Soquel came away winners of our first ever tournament and our team played well and came in 2nd in the Silver bracket.

Our senior night for boys volleyball will be on May 2nd vs Stevenson. Please come out and support your seniors!

Go Sharks,
