Fall 2019 Comprehensive Campaign for St. Francis High School:
Now in my 31styear in Catholic, Salesian education and my eighth year as President/Principal of St. Francis High School – Salesian College Preparatory, I am excited to provide you with an update on our Comprehensive Campaign. With the goal of elevating the value and opportunities for our graduates, St. Francis is launching a comprehensive campaign that includes the annual fund, planned giving, establishing an endowment, and the VISION capital campaign.
Over the past two and a half years, St. Francis has been growing its annual fund and raising money in the “silent phase” of its VISION capital campaign. Our comprehensive fundraising efforts for 2018-2019 were $720,917 as we collected for academic, athletic, and arts programs, as well as tuition assistance and the capital campaign. Now we are ready to go public with our VISION campaign efforts, celebrating pledges and collected gifts of $3,485,693 for Phase 1 of the campaign: a new 11,000’ Counseling Center/Administration Building. Part of the total pledged and collected money-to-date is restricted for Phase 2: installing a state-of-the-art interactive stadium with turf, bleachers, and lines for football/soccer/women’s lacrosse.
The newly announced Comprehensive Campaign allows us to share our mission and vision with more local and international students who want excellence in academics, athletics, arts, service, and leadership. As a friend of St. Francis, you know that state-of-the-art resources and facilities are vital to building a legacy for current and future generations. Future phases in the VISION capital campaign: we add maker-space classrooms, chapel, performing arts center, food service area, aquatics center, and more athletic facilities like baseball fields and a new gym to meet the needs of our students and alumni.
Approximately 70 donors/foundations have joined this effort to build our new facilities. We are gratified for the very generous support already shown. Thank you to everyone who has pledged or given to Phase 1. The Annual Fund brochure is being completed and will be mailed after our Burgundy & Gray Gala. As a true Salesian school, we rely on alumni, parents, Board of Directors, Corporate Members, and community members/businesses to fund these campaign phases. 100% giving, at any level, helps make the Comprehensive Campaign for St. Francis a reality.
You can help us reach our final campaign goal and start construction this school year! If you have not already done so, please consider making a new contribution to the St. Francis High School VISION Capital Campaign by going to www.stfrancishigh.net/vision/or contacting Mr. Patrick Lee at [email protected]. Your gift will count towards the class challenge for a day of free dress and a free lunch in April of 2020!
We again express our gratitude for your support of St. Francis High School. To start construction this school year, we need everyone’s support! No donation is too small, and every dollar counts towards fulfilling the matching pledge and completing the project.
