In the championship game of the Gilroy JV Mustang Classic, the Lady JV Sharks faced a very talented and physical San Benito Haybailer team. The Sharks jumped out to a early lead, but gave up several big baskets to end the half tied at 19. The Sharks outscored the Bailers 17-11 in the third quarter, and hung on late to win the title, 47-42. The victory was sealed by two clutch free throws from freshman Alyssa Soto and the Sharks defense held up in the end. Leading scorers were Megan Kelly with 15 points, Laura.
