Sharks Football Begins With Successful Scrimmage

The St. Francis Sharks began their season tonight with a scrimmage vs. the Harker Eagles of San Jose. Offensively Senior Quarterback Nick Ciandro threw a touchdown pass to Sophomore Wide Receiver Ivo Lasich. Ciandro also completed passes to sophomore receivers Conor Bagchee, Andrew Ciandro and sophomore tight end Ruben Ibarra. Sophomore Running Back Richie Martinez III was the primary ball carrier for the Sharks and also lined up at Quarterback for part of the scrimmage.

Defensively Senior Linebacker Wyatt Ryan had a standout performance as well as fellow Senior Linebacker Adam Duran. A pair of Freshmen Defensive Backs Carson Cuzick and Tanner Putnins intercepted Harker passes for the Sharks. Cuzick's interception turned into a touchdown for the Sharks as he ran the ball back all the way to the end zone.

The Sharks open their season next week on Saturday September 6th at home vs Greenfield at 2 pm. Come out and support your Sharks.
