For the second year in a row the St Francis vs. Greenfield game came down to the end and both times it ended with St. Francis scoring the final touchdown for the win. For the Sharks Quarterback Nick Ciandro threw for three touchdowns and ran another one in. He also had the game clinching interception as the clock ran out.
Sophomore Running Back Richie Martinez III scored the first touchdown of the year on a rushing touchdown to end the first drive of the season. Sophomore Conor Bagchee had three receiving touchdowns including the 25 yard game clincher. Ivo Lasich had 8 catches for 113 yards receiving. Defensively Ruben Ibarra had a standout game from his nose guard position. Wyatt Ryan the captain of the defense had 12 tackles on the day.
The turning point in the game was with just under a minute left when Andrew Ciandro knocked the ball loose that was recovered by Angel Rico to give the Sharks the ball back with 53 seconds on the clock. It only took 30 seconds for Nick Ciandro to connect with Bagchee for the game winning touchdown.
