The 2014 St. Francis Sharks football team has three student/athletes receiving All Area recognition from the Santa Cruz Sentinel and the Register Pajaronian Newspapers. Senior Quarterback Nick Ciandro was named to the All Register Pajaronian Team. Ciandro finished his career with 3,913 passing yards and 35 touchdown passes. He also ran for 575 yards and 10 touchdowns giving him 4,488 total yards and 45 touchdowns accounted for in his three years of varsity football.
Senior Wyatt Ryan was named to the Santa Cruz Sentinel All Area Team as an Offensive Lineman and Sophomore Conor Bagchee was also named as a Wide Receiver. Ryan was the anchor of the Sharks Offensive Line and also started at Middle Linebacker where he led the team in tackles. Bagchee was the youngest member as the only sophomore named and finished the season with 29 catches for 514 yards with 6 touchdowns.
Seniors Ciandro and Ryan also took home the Sharks football end of the season awards as Ciandro was named Team MVP and Ryan was chosen for the Coaches Award.
