Congratulations go out to Cooper Scherr and Isabella Shahmirza for being named Male and Female CIF CCS Scholar Athletes for 2014-15. Cooper and Izzy competed against over 300 other highly qualified CCS athletes. The Central Coast Section covers schools from King City to the South and goes all the way to San Francisco.
Both Cooper and Izzy will receive a $2000 scholarship to help with college costs and the school will receive banners to hang in recognition of their accomplishments. This is extremely rare that the same school wins both the Male and Female award, so it is a true testament to Cooper and Izzy, but also, what SF student-athletes are all about.
They will be honored at our awards ceremony in May with an official from the CIF presenting them with their award and banner.
