Congratulations to the St. Francis boys basketball team on their 51-43 win over SLV in the semi-finals of the SCCAL playoffs. Chase Watkins led the way with 15 points for the Sharks while Jason Gallo played great with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Point Guard Sandor Rene Rodriguez finished with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. The Sharks started slow as SLV opened up with a 17-4 lead, but then the Sharks came back and with a great second half were able to earn the comeback victory.
The Sharks play Saturday night at 7:30 pm in Santa Cruz at the Kaiser Arena the home of the Santa Cruz Warriors vs Santa Cruz High School. Santa Cruz HS comes into the game undefeated in league play. The last time they met Santa Cruz won 56-53 as a Shark 3 pointer went in and out at the final buzzer. Should be a great game. Come out and support your Sharks!
