In a game that will never be forgotten the final score was Santa Cruz 46 St. Francis 44. St. Francis took the lead at 44-43 with under a minute to go though the game ended with Santa Cruz hitting a three pointer and the official saying it counted as the clock hit 0. Times like this is when the true character of a person shows. We are so proud of the way the young men on the St. Francis basketball team handled themselves as they left the court with their heads held high knowing they made their school proud.
Sandor Rene Rodriguez led the way for the Sharks with 16 points on the night. Jason Gallo helped out with 10 and Chase Watkins had 6 on the night, but most importantly guarded Santa Cruz star player Kaijee Yee-Stephens all night, which was the key to keeping the game close.
The Sharks will find out tomorrow their seed for the upcoming section Division V CCS tournament.
