Congratulations to the St. Francis baseball seniors as they led a 14-12 victory over Scotts Valley to remain tied for first place in the SCCAL. Senior Danny Cervantes took the mound and pitched great, he was relieved by fellow Senior JD Duarte and then Junior Andrew Ciandro came in to close out the win. A pair of middle infielder seniors Sahid Valenzuela and Jacob Ratti led the way on defense and at the plate. Senior Sean Moakler came into the game and played Left Field to help earn the win.
At the plate Ciandro hit the fence twice for doubles, Valenzuela scored the go ahead run, Junior Conor Bagchee made great catches in Center Field, Junior Ruben Ibarra played a great game, Sophomore Chase Watkins made great plays in the field, Sophomore Derric Estrada-Haro and Junior Richie Martinez split the catching duties on the day and Sophomore David Talavera III hit the cover off of the ball.
