The St. Francis football team lost to Stellar Prep on their homecoming game 32-0. It was also senior day for seniors, Joseph Kovacs, Ivo Lasich, Conor Bagchee, Chris Copriviza, Richie Martinez, Andrew Ciandro, Jerome Lumicao, Noe Madrigal, Walker Gong and Zach Estrada. The Sharks record moves to 6-4 on the year and will finish the regular season at California School of the Deaf on Thursday at 6 pm. CA School of the Deaf is 9-1 on the season, but the Sharks will look to upset Eagles on their senior day and hope to gain a spot in the Division V NCS playoffs.
Richie Martinez led the Sharks on senior day as he ran for 122 yards. Fellow senior Andrew Ciandro led the team in tackles and had 35 yards rushing.
The junior varsity Sharks won 27-10 over Stellar Prep and finished their second undefeated season in a row. Sophomores Andrew Seymour and Devin McLeod each had rushing TDs and McLeod also caught a TD pass from freshmen Joseph Garibay. Sophomore Andy O' Rourke led the team in tackles. Congratulations to the young Sharks on another great season!
