Sharks Football Season Ends in Playoffs at St. Patrick St. Vincent in Vallejo

Your St. Francis Sharks football season came to a close Friday night with a 55-22 loss at St. Patrick St. Vincent of Vallejo. It was the third time in school history the Sharks reached the post season. The Sharks scoring came from seniors Richie Martinez III and Andrew Ciandro. Fellow senior Chris Copriviza added two extra points and senior Joseph Kovacs added a two point conversion on a pass from Joseph Ramirez.

The Sharks season is over, but not without some great accomplishments. Senior Richie Martinez III finished the game with 117 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns and that put him over the thousand yard mark as he finished with 1,043 yards rushing. It was the second consecutive season a Shark ran for 1,000 yards as last year fellow senior Ivo Lasich accomplished the feat.

It was the final game for seniors Joseph Kovacs, Ivo Lasich, Conor Bagchee, Chris Copriviza, Richie Martinez III, Andrew Ciandro, Jerome Lumicao, Noe Madrigal, Walker Gong and Zach Estrada. Many of these Sharks were four year lettermen, totaled 18 varsity wins in their time as Sharks and helped the program make the post season for the third time in school history. We will miss you seniors and please know you will always be Sharks!
