Congratulations to the boys basketball team on their 49-33 wining front of a packed house at the Borina Athletic Center tonight over the Aptos Mariners. The Sharks move to 4-0 in league play and are 2 games up in the loss column for first place in the SCCAL. All 5 starters had big nights led by the hot start of Ruben Ibarra who had 9 of the first 11 points. Sandor Rodriguez brought the house down with a Harlem Globetrotters like basket as he weaved through 3 defenders to seal the win. Jason Gallo and Dominic Figueroa hit big 3 pointers throughout the night and Chase Watkins was great on the boards and hit some timely baskets.
The Sharks play at Scotts Valley tomorrow and hope to keep the hot streak going. The girls will tip off at 4 pm and the boys will tip off at 5:30 pm. Go Sharks!
