Congratulations to the St. Francis Men's Basketball Team. They won the Nor Cal Championship on Saturday night 69-64 in front of a jam packed home crowd in the Borina Athletic Center. Chase Watkins hit a 3 pointer late in the game and Jason Gallo's free throws put the game on ice. Watkins led the team in scoring with 23 points, Dominic Figueroa had 16 points and Gallo had 14 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Senior Riley Scherr hit a key three pointer in the 2nd quarter. Senior Ivo Lasich again came off the bench to play quality minutes. Seniors Ruben Ibarra and Sandor Rene Rodriguez were their usually selves with Ibarra dominating on the boards and Rodriguez on the assists.
The Sharks will now move onto play in the State final vs. the Southern California champion on Friday March 24th at noon in the Golden 1 Center, the home of the NBA Sacramento Kings.
