Congratulations to the St. Francis Sharks football team on their 37-0 win over Pajaro Valley to kickoff the season. It was the debut and first win for new Head Coach John Ausman. The Sharks offensively scored touchdowns on their first 5 drives. Cory Parker caught a TD pass from Derric Estrada-Haro. After that Aaron Soto ran for 2 touchdowns then Andrew Seymour ran for a touchdown just before halftime to put the score at 28-0 at the break. The first drive after halftime Estrada-Haro connected on a long pass to CJ Gomez for a touchdown. Cesar Sanchez hit a 37 yard field goal to finish the scoring. The offensive line led the way for the Sharks behind Oscar Zamora, Hunter Blinkenberg, Johnny Ceballos, Josh Kovacs, Tanner Putnins, Ethan LoBue and Diego Ramirez.
The Sharks defense pitched a shutout as Ramirez and Justin Parker each recorded sacks on the night. The Sharks next take on California School for the Deaf Friday night September 1st at 7:30 pm with the game played at Santa Cruz High School. The Sharks JV team will kickoff at 5 pm on Friday at Santa Cruz HS vs. Valley Christian of Dublin. Come out and support your Sharks!
