Student Life Update
Dress Code: The 2017-2018 Student-Family Handbook is available on our school website, and I encourage all students to continue to review it as we progress through the school year. The handbook provides students with information regarding our school’s philosophy, mission, general policies, dress code, discipline issues, student leadership, academic policies, and other pertinent items.
I am glad to report that our students are making great strides in adhering to the school’s dress code policy, and I am optimistic that the student body will continue that trend. One dress code theme that our staff and faculty needs support with is the visibility of socks. Although we have made improvements with the socks, please remind your student to wear visible socks regardless of the height of the shoe.
Two other themes that we have noticed regarding dress code are grooming (specifically with facial hair), and skirt lengths. Let’s help our students make sure they are always adhering to these dress code standards.
As mentioned before, I am here to serve all St. Francis High School students, parents, faculty, and, staff. I look forward to working with all community members to create a purposeful and enjoyable learning experience for all students.
