Congratulations to the St. Francis Cross Country team on their performance on Saturday, October 14th at the Monterey Bay Invitational at Toro Park Salinas.
Cami Ryan, sophomore turned in the fastest time for the lady sharks at the Monterey Bay invitational at Toro Park Saturday, Ryan's time of 21:25 was her fastest time ever on the 3.0 mile course which end placed her 8th overall in the Frosh/Soph division. Sophomore, Angelika Castro placed 9th out of 146 runners in a lifetime best of 21:31. Both girls garnished a medal for their efforts.
Senior, Olivia Burke and Junior, Natalie Henn clocked season best in the Varsity girls race with a 25:23 and 26:08. Junior, Bell Zhang finished in a lifetime best in 27:05. In the Junior Varsity race.
Brandon George was our lone competitor in the 3 Miles Frosh/ Soph division. George earned a medal for placing 15th in a lifetime best in 19:46.
Miguel Aguilar had his best time on the 3 mile course with a 21:29.
The Varsity Boys race had a stellar performance from EJ Kelly V who ran a season best of 16:42. He placed 12th out 244 while producing the fastest time in our county in this race. Senior, James T. young was next for the Sharks in a lifetime best of 18:45 and Junior, Mathieu Morin ran his lifetime best in 21:13 as well.
The Sharks are back on the trails Saturday, October 21st at The Soquel Knight Ken Thomas Invitational-9am at Soquel High School. Go Sharks!
