Dear St. Francis Families,

The first semester is now complete! Congratulations to all students for their hard work. I had the opportunity to read every semester final and am proud to say that the teachers at St. Francis provide students with excellent, college preparatory curriculum!

Thank you to the students, parents, faculty and staff for an outstanding semester!

Teachers have begun entering final exam and semester grades. Please know those grades are not finalized until January 12th so they may change in the coming weeks and all assignments are entered and the weighting of categories is completed. Hard copy report cards will be mailed home after the official report cards are issued on or before January 19th.

Second Semester Information: The new semester begins on Thursday, January 11. Please ensure that your student(s) have all of the necessary textbooks* as well as a fresh inventory of school supplies.

When the new semester begins, teachers will have the opportunity to provide an updated syllabus or make adjustments to the course. Additionally, some students will find that beginning in January and for the second semester, their classes are scheduled in a different order. This is particularly true if they have a study hall or are assigned to the LRC to complete an online class.

*A number of teachers have mentioned that some students still do not have or no longer have their required textbooks. St. Francis goes to great lengths to ensure that the required textbooks are used effectively and provide high quality content. If it is stated a textbook is required, it is mandatory that your student(s) have regular and convenient access to that specific book. Please help ensure that your student has all she/he needs to be successful. Book requirements can be found on the course syllabus. If you have questions regarding the books, please contact the teacher of the particular class.

Have a Wonderful Christmas!
Ms. Colleen Eagleson
