Sharks Wrestling Honors Seniors vs Harbor

Congratulations to your St. Francis wrestling team as they went 5-1 on the night in their matches vs. Harbor. Because St. Francis didn't have wrestlers at all the weight classes the Sharks technically lost 45-24, but in the 6 matches that were wrestled the Sharks won 5 with 3 of them by pin. The Sharks who won by pin were Justin Parker, Hunter Blinkenberg and Roderick Howe. Isaac Davila won his match 10-4 and Felipe Padia-Noriega won a dramatic match 7-6. Isaac Tani lost a close match that went the distance for the Sharks, but put on a great show for the packed gym.

The Sharks honored our two seniors Felipe Padia-Noriega and Cory Parker before the match. Padia-Noriega as a junior qualified for the CCS meet in the first year of the program and this is Parker's first year wrestling. The Sharks are now 95-44 overall in individual matches on the season and 3-1 in SCCAL dual matches and next week take on Santa Cruz and Aptos in their final SCCAL regular season meet of the year. After that the Sharks will compete in the SCCAL met in hopes of qualifying multiple wrestlers for the CCS meet. Go Sharks!
