Sharks Wrestling Makes History With Two Individuals Winning First Ever League Titles in School History

Congratulations to Justin Parker (145 pound weight class) and Hunter Blinkenberg (152 pound weight class) for winning the school's first ever individual league wrestling championships! Three other Sharks took home medals as Roderick Howe finished 3rd in the 138 pound weight class, Felipe Padia-Noriega finished 2nd in the 195 pound weight class and Isaac Davila finished 2nd in the 285 pound weight class.

Parker won his weight class with 3 first round pins in all his matches over Caylen Swan of SLV, Natavaja Maziarz of Santa Cruz and in the finals vs. Nicolas Vasquez of Harbor.

Blinkenberg received a first round bye, in the semi finals he beat Dylan Nejara of Scotts Valley 11-2 and in the finals beat Tyler Slay of Aptos 6-3. Parker, Blinkenberg, Padia-Noriega and Davila will qualify for CCS at Independence High School on February 23rd and 24th.

We'd also like to give a big congratulations to the Sharks Coaching Staff, Head Coach Nick Guerrero and assistants Bryan Johnson and Richie Martinez for all their hard work that has paid off and all the great success the program has had in our short 2 year history. Thank you coaches!

Come up to San Jose to cheer on your Sharks as we hope to make history again with our first CCS individual titles!
