Sharks Shine on the Track at Soquel

On April 26th the Sharks competed in a track meet vs. Soquel, Mt. Madonna and Harbor. Congratulations to Samantha Bellucci for winning the long (14' 5.75") and triple jump (31'5"), congratulations to Camryn Ryan on winning the 1600 meters at 6:02.66, a PR and Justin Parker for winning the 100 meters with a time of 11.88 seconds. 2nd place finishers for the Sharks were Devlyn Gomez in the high jump at 4'8" along with Bellucci also at 4'8". The Sharks 4x100 team of Chloe Deleissegues, Olivia Burke, Bellucci and Gomez finished 2nd with a time of 54.78 seconds. The 4x400 team of Burke, Ryan, Angelika Castro and Janessa Yniguez finished 2nd with a time of 4:47. In the 3200 meters Natalie Henn finished 2nd with a time of 15:27.5. Burke finished 2nd in the 1600 m 2:41.65 and Castro finished 3rd in the 1600 m at 2:45.46. Deliessegues finished 2nd in the 100 m with a time of 13.39 seconds.
 
On the boys side along with Parker winning the 100 m, James Young finished 2nd in the 400 with a time of 56.7 seconds. He also finished 2nd in the 800 at 2:12.20. Vince Wolfe finished 2nd in the 300 m Hurdles with a time of 48.3 seconds. Joey Garibay finished 2nd in the high jump at 5'2", 2nd in the long jump at 17'2", and 2nd in the triple jump at 35'8". Miguel Aguilar finished 2nd in the pole vault at 6'. The Sharks will next compete in the SCCAL finals in hopes of securing some spots to go to the CCS meet. Go Sharks!
