Congratulations to the St. Francis softball team on their 22-0 win over Harbor on senior day. Shelby Velasco pitched a complete game shutout for the Sharks. At the plate the Sharks scored early and often as Velasco helped her own cause with the first RBI of the game as she drove in Lena Ciandro, then Arianna Azevedo hit in Velasco. Anna Noto also had a great day at the plate helping the Sharks with a big win. Senior Meghan Clifton who was unable to play this season due to a basketball injury was also honored on senior day.
The Sharks finished the regular season with an overall record of 14-10 and 8-4 in SCCAL play good enough for third place. The Sharks earlier this week beat first place Aptos and now will wait to see if they earn an at large bid into the CCS playoffs. Stay tuned to the athletics page at stfrancishigh.net. Go Sharks!
