Congratulations to the St. Francis baseball team on their 6-1 win over Aptos. Chase Watkins pitched a complete game for the Sharks and earned the win. The Sharks bats started hot early as they took a 2-0 lead in the first inning starting with a David Talavera RBI single. The Sharks defense and timely hitting led to the 6-1 win.
The Sharks are now 18-6 overall on the season and 8-3 in SCCAL play good enough for 2nd place. The Sharks play Aptos again today at Aptos in the final game of the regular season. Over the weekend the Sharks will find out their time and location of their CCS playoff game as the SCCAL gets 3 automatic spots and the Sharks can finish no worse than a tie for 2nd place. Go Sharks!
