Sharks Baseball Beats Pinewood 9-4, Moves Onto CCS Semi Finals

Congratulations to the #1 seed St. Francis baseball team on their 9-4 win over Pinewood in the quarter finals of the CCS Division III tournament. CJ Gomez started the game and pitch 5 innings giving up only 3 runs on 4 hits with 3 strike outs. Andrew Seymour came in to close the game out only giving up 1 run in two innings.
 
At the plate for the Sharks Josiah Granados-Diaz went 2 for 3 with 2 runs and an RBI. Chase Watkins went 2 for 4 with 2 runs, David Talavera went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 runs, Julian Mendoza went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI and the Sharks had 9 total stolen bases on the day. In the field Brandon Moakler and Granados-Diaz both had diving catches in the outfield.
 
The Sharks will now play #4 seed Palma in the semi finals at 7 pm on Wednesday at Washington Park in Santa Clara. Come up and support your Sharks!
