The new SFHS Tennis Coach Marty Pelton was on the courts for the first time today with the Tennis Sharks who played their first non-league match against Aptos High School. Team Captain Gabriella Gutierrez Number One Singles brought in the solo win for SFHS: 6-1, 6-3. Doubles team Santana Rigor and Marisa Vasquez played a great match and fell in the tie breaker after the third set.
This year the SFHS Tennis Team has four returning Seniors: Kayli Galster, Emily Wells, Gabriella Gutierrez and Emily Garcia. Other returning Sharks are Mika Marheineke, Kayli Galster, Santana Rigor, Marisa Vasquez, Sofia Fryn, Madeleine Kehoe and Emma Haro. Two new SFHS Tennis Sharks on the courts today to play their first match Freshmen: Neftaly Medina and Sofia Gonzalez.
The next match is Monday August 27th at Santa Cruz High School. Go Sharks!
