Counseling Home

The St. Francis High School Counseling & Guidance team is dedicated to the care and development of each student. The Counseling & Guidance department supports students with academic, college and career, students with learning differences, and personal counseling throughout their years at St. Francis High School. Counselors are focused on assisting students as they make decisions that will affect their education, and the department strives to implement programs that will enable them to reach their full potential at St. Francis and beyond.
 
Counselors coordinate the school counseling and guidance program and involve all staff members in designing and implementing plans to meet three major goals:

 

On-going personal counseling for St. Francis High School students is available throughout the school year. Our goal is to help students move through high school with proper guidance and support in order to achieve greater success in the fulfillment of their high school goals and post-high school plans.
 
As Counselors We Provide:

 

 

Launched in the fall of 2021, the ESAT Counselor works directly with students who have diagnosed learning differences, a medical diagnosis that impacts their classroom and independent learning, and those students who have earned a D/F in the previous grading period.  

 

The role of the ESAT Counselor will evolve.  During the fall of 2021, the focus will be on the coordination of communication to teachers and with students and parents regarding learning differences and medical challenges that impact the learning environment and communication regarding Mandatory Tutorial.

 

The role of the ESAT Counselor is to lead the Empowering Students’ Achievement Team.  As a team of students, parents, teachers, staff, coaches, and administrators, St. Francis High School students will develop the skills students necessary to achieve success.
